The Camerata Coral Sant Cugat is a choir composed by singers mainly from Sant Cugat but also from other catalan cities around Barcelona, with music formation and a compromise both technical and artistic for the development of voice and body expression, working around a wide range of styles from early up to conterporary music.
The choral formation was created in 2003 as an experimental choir. The singer works not only on musical and vocal aspects and but also, within a multidisciplinry scenic context, on the global development of his body expression.
Every year the Camerata Coral participates in a high number of performances and concerts wihtin the catalan territory and abroad. Some of these activities include choral-symphonic concerts and multidiscipliny productions of music, dance and poetry organised by the Camerata Sant cugat artistic company.
The choir has performed premier pieces from the following contemporaty authors: Raimon Romaní, Joan Josep Gutierrez, Lluís Vila and Xavier Benguerel.
